Evelyn Margaret Tiede
Beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Evelyn M. (Peterson) Tiede, 91 years of age, passed away peacefully December 6, 2012, at Sanford Hospital surrounded by her loving family.Evie was born February 19, 1921, at home in Ada, MN, to Eli and Helen Peterson. She had 9 brothers and sisters. On February 5, 1941, at the age of 20 Evie was united in marriage to Lawrence Tiede. They were married for 71 wonderful years. They were blessed with three children. During their first 20 years together, they made a living farming in Borup, MN. In 1962, they moved to Hawley, MN where they lived the rest of their married life. Evie worked various jobs at Silverline Boats, Hawley Elementary School and Hawley Manor. Although, her greatest and most proud accomplishment was raising and caring for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elias and Helen Peterson; brothers, Kenneth, Leroy, Glen, Jim and sister, Francis.
Evelyn is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence; her sons, Vernon (Linda), Richard (Kathy) and daughter, Shirley Viker; twin sister, Hazel and sister, Betty; brothers, Russell and Donald; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Visitation: Monday, December 10, 2012 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 2:00 in Hawley Lutheran Church, Hawley, MN.
Interment: Hawley Cemetery, Hawley, MN.
