Lloyd A. Odin, Moorhead, MN, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND, at the age of 87.

Lloyd, son of Oscar and Lillian (Peterson) Odin, was born October 27, 1925, in Fargo. He grew up in Moorhead, where he graduated from high school in 1943.

Lloyd A. Odin, Moorhead, MN, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND, at the age of 87.

Lloyd, son of Oscar and Lillian (Peterson) Odin, was born October 27, 1925, in Fargo. He grew up in Moorhead, where he graduated from high school in 1943.

During WWII, Lloyd served in the US Army. He served in General Patton's 3rd Army, and participated in the "Battle of the Bulge". After his discharge, he returned to Moorhead, where he attended and graduated from Concordia College.

Lloyd married Muriel Meslow on November 10, 1962, at Wyndmere, ND. They made their home in Moorhead, where Lloyd worked at First National Bank. He also worked in finance at other banks, and ended his career working for the collection service and credit bureau in Fargo. The family enjoyed time spent at their lake home on Pelican Lake, near Pelican Rapids, MN.

Lloyd enjoyed music and played both piano and tuba. He was an active member of the Red River Valley Veteran's Band.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Muriel, Moorhead; daughter, Julie (David) Maroney, Eden Prairie, MN; son, Brad, Moorhead; and three grandchildren.

Visitation: Friday, one hour prior to the funeral, at the church. Funeral: Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, 11 AM, Bethesda Lutheran Church, Moorhead. Arrangements by: Korsmo Funeral Service, Moorhead.
