Obert "Whitey" Fosse, 73, West Fargo, ND, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 in his home.

Whitey was born on Jan. 7, 1939, to Fred and Cora Fosse in Akron Township, four miles south of Rothsay, MN. He attended school in Barnesville, MN, graduating in 1957. In Aug. of 1961, he enlisted in the US Navy for 4 ½ years of active duty and was stationed in Norfolk, VA. After his honorable discharge, Whitey worked in the Fargo/Moorhead area for 32 years in the telecommunications industry. Whitey married Linda Allan in March of 1967 and have lived in West Fargo for 39 years, where they raised 2 boys.

Whitey is survived by his wife, Linda, West Fargo, ND; two sons, Larry (Kimberly), Glyndon, MN, and Steve, West Fargo, ND; two granddaughters, Natasha, Wichita, KS and Brooke, Ada, MN; two great grandsons, Aiden, Wichita, KS and Remington, Ada, MN; three sisters, Charlotte (Heinz) Meyhuber, West Fargo, ND, Avis Lofgren, Fargo, ND, and Janis (Kevin) Jensen, Gary, MN; two sister-in-laws; and many nieces and nephews

Visitation: Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 from 4 to 6 pm at West Funeral Home, West Fargo and one hour before the service.

Funeral: Monday, Dec. 17, 2012 at 10:00 am in West Funeral Chapel, West Fargo, ND.
