Eleanor Jeske, age 94 of Twin Valley, MN died Wednesday, December 12, 2012 in Twin Valley Living Center, Twin Valley.

Eleanor Lenora Ramsey was born August 5, 1918 the daughter of Louis and Rachel (Opsahl) Ramsey near Syre, MN. Eleanor was baptized and confirmed her faith at Zion Lutheran Church in Twin Valley. On July 6, 1941 Eleanor was united in marriage to Russell Jeske at Zion Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in Flom Township and together they farmed with Eleanor's parents for five years. During this time they purchased a farm southwest of Mahnomen and in 1960 Russell began working for Anderson Implement in Mahnomen. Over several years, Russell and Eleanor purchased the business later renamed it Mahnomen Implement. Eleanor dedicatedly worked as the bookkeeper there until they retired in 1980. In 1985, the couple moved into Twin Valley. Following Russell's death in 1987, Eleanor continued to live in her home until moving into the Normandy in the early 2000's. On November 11, 2011, Eleanor entered the Twin Valley Living Center where she lived until the time of her death.

Eleanor had been an active member of Wild Rice Lutheran Church since 1946. She served as ladies aid president several times as well as holding other offices in the church. She loved to sing which was evident when she sang with the church choir as well as singing duets with her husband and other groups in the area. Eleanor's favorite pastimes included tending her many flower and vegetable gardens over the years. She also loved to travel and had toured most of the United States along with a trip over seas.

Eleanor is survived by a niece, Susan (Denny) Hickock; nephews, Mike Lysing and Richard Mesker; and several cousins; as well as special friends, Steve, Kim, Adam, and Aaron Bommersbach.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and several cousins.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Wild Rice Lutheran Church, rural Twin Valley. Visitation will be Monday December 17 from 5-7 PM in the Anderson Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Wild Rice Lutheran Cemetery, rural Twin Valley.
