Arnold C. Hamilton, 72, Langdon, ND, died Friday, December 14, 2012 in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.

Arnold was born December 27, 1939 at Walhalla, ND to William and Christina (Frank) Hamilton. He was the eldest child of 12. He was a construction worker and moved around a lot. In 1962, he moved to Fargo, ND, where he was employed at Thurlow Welding and later Ames Sand and Gravel for 27 years, retiring in 2005. He had resided in Landon for the past three years.

He loved hunting season and belonged to a black powder club. He also enjoyed playing guitar and was in a band for many years. He enjoyed his casino runs, having coffee with friends and playing cards.

He is survived by his children; Kathleen (David) Mathews, James Hamilton, Terry (Amy) Hamilton, Francis (Theresa) Hamilton all of Fargo, five grandchildren, three great grandchild; one sister, Margie Leinen, Fargo; brothers, Wayne (Bertha), Bismarck, ND, Leslie (Carol), Minneapolis, MN, Ronald (Mary), Underwood, MN, Dennis, Alaska, Richard (Romayne), Fergus Falls, MN, Tom, Fargo, Harry, Fargo, Lee (Cheryl), Howard Lake, MN and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Funeral: Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 1 pm in West Funeral Chapel, West Fargo, ND, with visitation from noon to 1.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND
