Kenneth Melvin Moen, 62, of Valley, NE formerly of Page, ND, died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Life Care Center of Elkhorn, NE.Kenneth was born February 13, 1950 in Fargo, ND to Melvin and Joyce (Reitan) Moen from Page. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Page and graduated from the Page High School in 1969. Ken attended Wahpeton State School of Science and graduated with a diesel mechanic degree.

Kenneth Melvin Moen, 62, of Valley, NE formerly of Page, ND, died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Life Care Center of Elkhorn, NE.
Kenneth was born February 13, 1950 in Fargo, ND to Melvin and Joyce (Reitan) Moen from Page. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Page and graduated from the Page High School in 1969. Ken attended Wahpeton State School of Science and graduated with a diesel mechanic degree.
After his schooling, he worked in Fargo and in 1979 moved to Tacoma, WA. In 1984, he moved to Omaha, NE and started working for Caterpillar. Ken continued to work on diesels until post polio syndrome limited him to small engine repair, which he did in his own shop.
Ken enjoyed all family gatherings and time spent with his boys. He also enjoyed rebuilding engines and refurbishing old vehicles. He was a former member of the Waterloo Chamber of Commerce.
He is survived by three sons: Gabriel (RaeAnn) Moen, Joshua (Juliana) Moen, all of Tacoma, WA and K. Matthew Moen of Omaha, NE; one brother: Randy (Donna) Moen of Harwood, ND; three sisters: Linda (James) Mitchell of Frankfort, IL, Dianne (Duke) Spoon of Arlington, NE and Nancy Moen of Geneva, NE; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation: Will be on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 9 - 11 AM at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Page, ND.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Page, ND.
Burial: Page Cemetery
