Brandon, SD- Dorcas (Erickson) Ode, 86, formerly of Kindred, ND died Monday, December 17, 2012, at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 21, 2012, at Heritage Lutheran Church (117 Sandstone Ave.) in Brandon, SD with burial to follow at the Brandon Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 20 at the George Boom Funeral Chapel in Brandon, SD with the family present to greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Survivors include her children, Deborah (Jim) Wehde, Sioux Falls, Christine (Jay) Dean, Sioux Falls, and Thomas (Heidi) Ode, Brandon, SD; sister, Judith (Rev. Ralph) Hofrenning, Fargo, ND; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Ardis Erickson, Pine Island, MN, Nina Erickson, Fargo, ND and Arlene Erickson, Fargo, ND. Dorcas was preceded in death by her husband, Burton; parents, Chris and Lillian Erickson; and brothers, Clemens, Glenn, Marcellus and Lloyd.
