Chester Allen Jensen, 94, died December 23, 2012 in Fargo, ND.Chester Allen Jensen was born December 28, 1917 in McIntosh, MN to Arthur and Mabel Alrick Jensen. He attended grade school in Winger, MN and in 1937 graduated from high school in McIntosh, MN. In October 1940 he enlisted in the National Guard at Crookston, MN and was activated into the U.S. Army in February 1941. During his tenure, he rose from the rank of Private to First Lieutenant. While in the European theater, he served with the 3rd Army as part of the 5th Infantry Division. Most of his duties were involved in reconnaissance work from the region of Normandy to Czechoslovakia. He was awarded the bronze star and discharged with honor on January 15, 1946.

Chester Allen Jensen was born December 28, 1917 in McIntosh, MN to Arthur and Mabel Alrick Jensen. He attended grade school in Winger, MN and in 1937 graduated from high school in McIntosh, MN. Following military service, he enrolled at North Dakota State University and graduated in June 1948 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He married Frances Wee from Fargo, ND on June 11, 1948 at Winger, MN. They resided in Fargo. He worked as an Independent Insurance Agent from 1948-1988 and had his agency in Moorhead, MN. He had memberships in the Minnesota Professional Insurance Agents and Brokers organization, Fargo American Legion, V.F.W. (lifetime membership), Masonic Lodge, El Zagel Shrine Mobil Nobles Unit, and he was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Fargo for over 50 years.
Chester is survived by his wife, Frances; two sons, Richard (Mary Louise) and Jerry. Also surviving are his sister, Clarice Ona, and many nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Harvey of McIntosh, MN and Robert, of Dallas, Texas, and his parents preceded him in death.
Memorial Service: 2:00 PM Friday, December 28, at Messiah Lutheran Church, Fargo. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial at Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
