Stanley LaCroix, 57, Fargo, ND, Died Thursday, December 20, 2012 in the Kindred Hospital, Fargo.Stanley James LaCroix was born March, 5, 1955 at Devil’s Lake, ND, to Kenneth and Angelina (Yankton) LaCroix. He was raised in the Fargo-Moorhead area and attended Moorhead, MN Schools. Stanley worked in the Fargo area doing painting, roofing, and other jobs in the building trades.

Stanley James LaCroix was born March, 5, 1955 at Devil’s Lake, ND, to Kenneth and Angelina (Yankton) LaCroix. He was raised in the Fargo-Moorhead area and attended Moorhead, MN Schools. Stanley worked in the Fargo area doing painting, roofing, and other jobs in the building trades.
He was an avid Vikings and NDSU football fan. Stanley was kind, compassionate, very friendly, generous, courageous, independent, humorous and even though he was very ill, he never gave up hope. He was loved by all of his family. His greatest joy was being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Jody (Joseph Bear Hill) Shepherd; 2 grandsons, Frederick and Felix; one granddaughter, Joey; three brothers, Kenneth, Fargo, Sylvester, West Fargo, and Joseph, St. Michael, ND; four sisters, Patty (Ross) Leaf, Moorhead, MN, Rita Leaf, Darlene (Doug) Geller, Lois (Keith) Leben, all St. Michael, ND; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law, Patricia, and two sisters Joyce and Sharon.
Visitation: Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 4-6 in the West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo, ND
Funeral Mass: Friday, December 28, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Michael’s Catholic Church, St. Michael, ND, with visitation from 10-2 in the Tekawitha Center located near the church.
