Gary R. Dahl
Gary R. Dahl, 67, of Dilworth, MN, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012, in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. Gary was born in Spokane, WA, on March 26, 1945, to Raymond and Gladys (Jacobsen) Dahl. He grew up in Glyndon, MN, attended school and graduated from Glyndon High School. In 1963, Gary enlisted in the U.S. Army and served until 1966. He lived in Florida for some time, and later in Alexandria, MN, before moving back to the area. Gary was a partner in D & S Towing in Moorhead and later worked various jobs until retiring from Amity Technology. He then enjoyed much of his time at Waubay Lake in South Dakota. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion in Moorhead. Gary enjoyed the outdoors and especially fishing. He will be missed.Gary is survived by his fiancée, Linda Hieb and her children, Wade, Kevin, Todd (Amy), and Chad (Lynn); his children, Joey and Kristi Dahl; 9 grandchildren; his mother, Gladys (Loren) Wignes; sisters, Diane (LeRoy) Walks, Cindy Dahl; brother, Deny (Donna); several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; numerous friends; and his K9 companion, Angel.
