Madeline Maddock, 80, of Oakes, ND, passed away December 29, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Society, Oakes, ND.

Madeline Mary Rose was born February 9, 1932 to Wilfred and Rose (Lizotte) Masse at Coventry, Rhode Island. She attended school at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic School in Coventry. After her schooling, Madeline was employed at a textile mill in Centerville, Rhode Island sewing Christmas stockings. Madeline married James Maddock on October 16, 1954 in Coventry, Rhode Island. To this union a daughter and four sons were born. They lived in West Warwick, RI prior to coming to Oakes in July 1969.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; a daughter, Deb (Pete) Vogel and a daughter-in-law, Patty Maddock all of Glendive, MT; three sons, Ronnie (Nancy) Maddock, Oakes, ND, John (Elaine) Maddock, Wahpeton, ND, and Charlie (Dana) Maddock, Fargo, ND; and a sister, Sylvia (Joe) Bickle, Oldsmar, FL. Madeline is also survived by eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Madeline was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jim Jr., a brother, Omer Masse, a sister, Mary Calci, and two nieces, Patty and Cindy.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 1, 2013, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Oakes, ND. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Oakes, ND, with burial to follow at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery near Oakes.
