Allan A. Heiberg, 65, of Dilworth, MN died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in the Veteran's Administration Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Allan Anthony Heiberg was born on January 12, 1947 in Hawley, MN to Mary Jane Heiberg. He grew up in Hawley, graduating from Hawley High School in 1966. Allan was drafted into the United States Army in March 1967. From December 1967 to November 1968, he served in Vietnam as a paratrooper for the 101st Airborne. On November 4, 1967 he married Constance Jean Johnson. Together they made their home in Hawley, MN for 33 years before moving to Dilworth in 2000. Over the years, Allan worked for Darrel Barth, Larsen’s Welding, Otto’s Welding, Krabbenhoft Farms, Fitzgerald Construction, Strata and Aggregate.

Allan was a member of the Moorhead American Legion. He loved fishing, hunting and mechanical work. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, and his dog, Ozzie and grand-dogs.

He is survived by his wife Connie, five children; Troy, Todd (Stacie), Rhonda, Shane (Rochelle) and Robyn (Rob); his mother, Mary “Jean” Pearson; his sister, Karen (Dennis) Ullrich; five grandchildren, Anthony (Kelsey), Austin, Cassandra, Jonathan and Ryan; his dog Ozzie; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation: Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN.

Funeral Service: Monday January 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN.

Interment: Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Moorhead, MN.
