Jonathan William Marfell, 34, of Fargo, died Monday, January 21, 2013 surrounded by his wife, parents, and brother, at his parents’ home in Fergus Falls.He was born January 31, 1978, in St. Paul, Minnesota the son of Bill and Amy (Schroeder) Marfell.

Jonathan William Marfell, 34, of Fargo, died Monday, January 21, 2013 surrounded by his wife, parents, and brother, at his parents’ home in Fergus Falls.
He was born January 31, 1978, in St. Paul, Minnesota the son of Bill and Amy (Schroeder) Marfell.
On September 15, 2001, he married Michelle Fasnacht in Madison Lake, Minnesota.
Jon was employed over the years at Fleet Farm in both Fergus Falls and Fargo, at Lakes Radio in Fergus Falls, and at Dell Comm Inc. in Fargo. He worked for Tharaldson Communications in Fargo as a Telephone Programmer from 1999-2006, and was currently employed as an Outside Plant Technician with IdeaOne Telecom in Fargo.
Jon enjoyed fishing, cooking, smoking meat with his buddy, Ross, tinkering with electronics and computers, combining with his brother, Ben, and especially spending time with friends and family. He was a fan of both the U of M Gopher Hockey and Fargo Force Hockey teams.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle Marfell, Fargo; parents, Bill & Amy Marfell, Fergus Falls; brother, Ben (Lora) Marfell & nieces Abby & Emma of Fergus Falls; and grandmother, Ruby Schroeder of St. Hilaire, MN.
Memorials are preferred to the Lake Region Cancer Care and Research Center, Humane Society of Otter Tail County, The Hour of Worship of Messiah Lutheran Church in Fargo ND, or the donor’s choice.
Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Grace United Methodist Church in Fergus Falls.
Clergy: Reverend Bob Kandels
Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery in Fergus Falls
Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls is in charge of the arrangements.
