Ruben G. Moncada
Ruben G. Moncada, formerly of East Grand Forks, MN., passed away Saturday Jan. 19th, 2013, in his home under the care of Hospice and surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.Ruben was born June 21st, 1951 in Grand Forks, ND., the 5th child of 7 born to Guadelupe and Dora (Gonzalez) Moncada. Ruben married the love of his life, Karen Visness, and together they raised their 4 children, in a home filled with love and laughter. He was a devoted husband, father, and a proud grandfather. Ruben had a larger than life personality, and a sense of humor like no other, and the world will forever be a duller place without him in it.

Ruben was born June 21st, 1951 in Grand Forks, ND., the 5th child of 7 born to Guadelupe and Dora (Gonzalez) Moncada. He is survived in death by his wife of 40 years, their childen; David Moncada, Fargo, Kristal (Jason) Holt, Louisiana, Nichole Moncada, and Joshua Moncada, both of Fargo, 2 children from a previous marriage, Christopher (Diana) Moncada, East Grand Forks, Richard Moncada, Florida, 10 grandchildren, brothers; Baldemar (Blanca) Moncada, Pasadena, TX., Asael (Mary) Moncada, Oakdale, MN., Daniel Moncada, East Grand Forks, MN., a sister, Florestella (Gary) Kiefat, Grand Forks, ND., and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Oscar Moncada, and Guadelupe Moncada Jr.
A service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs’ Witnesses, 2207 18th St. S, Fargo, ND on Saturday, January 26th, 2013 at 2:00pm, with a gathering to follow at Crossroads Senior Living Community, 1670 E Gateway Circle S., Fargo, ND.
