Larry W. Rothschadl, age 61, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on January 25, 2013 in his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley and his wife. Larry had surgery on July 30, 2012 and was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiform Brain Cancer.
Larry was born on January 23, 1952 in Waubun, MN to Richard and Marge (Doll) Rothschadl. He attended school in Waubun and after graduating, he attended Moorhead Vocation Technical College for accounting. He worked as a controller for RDO Truck Center (formerly Hall GMC) of Fargo, ND for 40 years. He married Debora Gunderson of Twin Valley, MN on April 28, 1973 and they made their home in Moorhead.
He is survived by his wife, Deb of Moorhead; three sons, Greg and children, Ava and Jade, of Westbrook, ME, Keith (Jill) and children, Ryslon and Easton, of Moorhead and Jeff of Moorhead; his parents, Richard and Marge of Mahnomen, MN; four brothers, Gale (Linda) of Dilworth, Rodney (Diane) of Thief River Falls, MN, Rick of Boise, ID and Randy (Deanne) of Dilworth, MN; sister, Sharon Walz of Dilworth, MN; sister-in-law, Renee (Dale) Armstrong; brothers-in-law, Myron (Sonya) Gunderson of Vergas, MN and Dale (Nancy) Gunderson of Moorhead as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Jewell and LaVerne Gunderson and godchild, Jeremy Gunderson.
The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during Larry's battle with cancer.
Visitation: Tuesday, January 29, 2013, from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN, with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m.
