Thomas L. Blair, 64, West Fargo, ND, died Friday, February 1, 2013 in Sanford Health, Palliative Care after a courageous battle with cancer.Thomas Leslie Blair was born September 18, 1948 in Fargo, ND to Harry and Lucille (Nowak) Blair. He grew up in Fargo and graduated in 1966 as a member of North High School’s first graduating class. He worked in Minneapolis – St. Paul, MN for a short time before returning to Fargo. Tom joined the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. After his military service, he became a partner in the Rib-Rack Bar and Grill in Comstock, MN. He married Andrea Rehder on September 27, 1975, in the Comstock Lutheran Church. The couple lived in Fargo, where Tom worked for both the Thompson, and Pierce roofing companies. In the 1980s he began working for Fargo Truss Systems, where he continued to work until June of 2012. Andrea died in February of that year.

Tom loved time spent at Big Toad Lake, MN, fishing and boating. He was a lifetime member of the West Fargo V.F.W.
Tom is survived by his son, Terrill and daughter, Allison, both of West Fargo; sister, Mary Ann (Willard) Gade, Ada, MN; granddaughter, Maggie; and niece, Julie (Danny) Rage and their daughter, Rebecca.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.
Visitation: Tuesday, February 5, 2013, from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7 at West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo.
Funeral: Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 11 in Faith Lutheran Church, West Fargo.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo
