Dwight L. Brown, 78, Moorhead, MN, formerly of Dilworth, MN, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.Dwight L. Brown was born in Ada, MN, on October 16, 1934. He grew up and received his education in the Borup, MN area. As a young man, he enlisted in the US Air Force. After his discharge, he continued to serve in the North Dakota Air National Guard.

Dwight L. Brown, 78, Moorhead, MN, formerly of Dilworth, MN, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.
Dwight L. Brown was born in Ada, MN, on October 16, 1934. He grew up and received his education in the Borup, MN area. As a young man, he enlisted in the US Air Force. After his discharge, he continued to serve in the North Dakota Air National Guard.
On March 29, 1969, Dwight married the love of his life, Karen Sigurdson. Following their marriage they made their home in Dilworth. In August of 2012, the couple moved to Moorhead.
Dwight farmed near Borup, owned in partnership a snowmobile dealership in Dilworth, and worked for the City of Moorhead Sanitation Department. He later served, with his two sons, as farm manager for the Donald Kroshus farm, near Perley, MN. He retired in 1999.
Dwight loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed sprint car and NASCAR racing, and was a Jeff Gordon fan. Early in life he was an active snowmobile racer.
Dwight is survived by his wife, Karen, Moorhead; four children, Tammy (Kim Palmer) Brown, Wahpeton, ND, Traci (Robert) Dovenmuehler, Lake Park, MN, Terry (Robin) Brown, Fargo, and Dean (Katie) Brown, Moorhead; a brother, Larry (Linda) Fisher, Crookston, MN; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Fisher; a brother, Reuben Fisher; and two granddaughters, Crystal Boswell and Nicole Brown.
Visitation: Tuesday, 5 PM to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM, Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Funeral: Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at 1:30 PM, Dilworth (MN) Lutheran Church
