Darlene C. Richard, age 93, Fargo passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 at her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Darlene Richard was born to Steven and Mary (Burrell) Murphy on January 28, 1920 in Fargo, North Dakota. She was a 1938 graduate of Shanley High School. After graduation, she attended the College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, MN for two years. Darlene married Frank Richard in 1947 at the Cathedral of St. Mary, Fargo ND. They made their home in Fargo. Darlene and Frank became the proud parents of a son, Ronald.

Darlene and Frank became the proud parents of a son, Ronald.

Darlene worked for several years for the Bank of West Fargo and then Fargo National Bank. Darlene spent many years tending to the care of her parents and assisting Frank in their business.

Darlene was a faithful, lifelong member of St. Mary’s Cathedral. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and Ladies Guild. She also assisted in many other church activities where needed.

Darlene enjoyed people, playing cards and going out for a good meal.

Preceding Darlene in death were her husband, Frank, and son, Ronald.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Cathedral of St. Mary, in Fargo on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation starting at 10:00 A.M.

A Prayer Service will be held at Boulger Funeral Home, Fargo on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. with visitation starting at 6:00 P.M.

Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery North, Fargo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Cathedral of St. Mary, Fargo.
