Thomas Joseph Christenson, 71, of Bexley, Ohio, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013. He is survived by his five children, Nick, Maren, Elise, Forest, and Zoe.Tom was born in Moorhead, Minnesota where he grew up and graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead majoring in Philosphy and German. Thomas Joseph Christenson, 71, of Bexley, Ohio, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013. He is survived by his five children, Nick, Maren, Elise, Forest, and Zoe.
Tom was born in Moorhead, Minnesota where he grew up and graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead majoring in Philosphy and German. He received his PhD in Philosophy from Yale University before beginning his teaching career at Augsburg University. He then returned to teach at his alma
mater, Concordia, before coming to Capital University in Bexley where he spent over 20 years as a valued member of their faculty.
Capital University will host a memorial service for him on Saturday, February 16 at 3:30pm at Mees Hall on the campus.
Those wishing to honor Tom's memory are invited to send memorials to Capital University's Center for Faith and Learning or the Lutheran Social Services Food Pantry.
