Norman (Pete) Kalvick
Norman (Pete) Kalvick, 91 of Grand Forks, ND, passed away February 16, 2013 in Larimore, ND.He was born June 20, 1921 in Hannaford ND the son of Ole and Gina Kalvick. He was raised on the family farm and graduated from Hannaford High School in 1940. In March of 1944 he enlisted in the United States Army and served until May of 1946. After the Army he started working for the Great Northern Railroad.

Norman (Pete) Kalvick, 91 of Grand Forks, ND, passed away February 16, 2013 in Larimore, ND.
He was born June 20, 1921 in Hannaford ND the son of Ole and Gina Kalvick. He was raised on the family farm and graduated from Hannaford High School in 1940. In March of 1944 he enlisted in the United States Army and served until May of 1946. After the Army he started working for the Great Northern Railroad.
He married Ruth Jagim on June 14, 1953 and they lived in Wheatland, ND. They raised their five children there until 1969 when they moved to Minot, ND where he retired from the Burlington Northen Railroad in 1983. Ruth passed away in January, 1986. On May 6, 1988 he married Bette Majkrzak and shortly after moved to Rapid City, SD where they lived for 18 years. In 2010 they moved to Grand Forks, ND. He moved into the Good Samaritan Home in the summer of 2012.
He enjoyed wood working, playing cards, and playing pranks with his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife Bette, Grand Forks, ND, children, Connie (Jeff) Jenkusky, Syracuse NY, Kim (Rory) Larson, Omaha, NE, Kip (Ann) Kalvick, Surrey, ND, Ken Kalvick, Prescott, AZ. Grandchildren Eric Larson, Omaha, NE, Sydney and Ethan Kalvick, Surrey ND, and Dara Jenkusky, Syracuse NY.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ole and Gina, wife Ruth, daughter Kathy Carlson, 3 brothers, Oswald, Alfred, Roger, and 3 sisters, Arvilla, Alma, Betsy.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 20. 2013 at 2:00 pm in the Union Lutheran Church, rural Hannaford, ND. Visitation will be one hour before services in the church.
