Hazel V. LaBatte
Hazel Virginia LaBatte passed away February 25, 2013 at Sunnyside Care Center, Lake Park, MN where she had resided since April 2012. She was born December 23, 1922 to Oscar & Julia Liudahl at Davenport, ND, where she grew up & graduated from high school. She married Charles Trom & moved with him to Baltimore, MD where he was stationed with the US Navy. They returned to Davenport for a time & later moved to Hawley, MN where they farmed. Charles passed away in 1958. Hazel married Philip LaBatte February 18, 1962 & they lived in Lake Park for several years where Hazel worked as a cook at the school. After retiring, they traveled a bit before settling in Apache Junction, AZ, where they made their home for several years. Hazel moved back to Lake Park a few years ago, where she has enjoyed the company of friends & family as well as her long time fellowship with Eksjo Lutheran Church where she was a member.Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, stepson, Terry Labatte; sister, Alice Erickson; brother, Norman Liudahl & grandson, Jo Rosini.

She is survived by sister, Mildred (Gerald) Nordquist of Washburn, ND; sister-in -law, Agnes Liudahl of West Fargo, ND; sister-in-law, Dori Trom, Fargo, ND; daughter-in-law, Cindy LaBatte of Cambridge, MN; 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews, & LaBatte relatives.
Funeral: Saturday, March 2, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., in Eksjo Lutheran Church, Lake Park, MN.
Visitation: One hour prior to the service in the church.
Interment: Davenport Lutheran Cemetery, Davenport, ND.
