LaVonne A. Hagen, 76, of rural Cathay, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford.LaVonne Ratzak, daughter of Alvin and Edna (Dablow) Ratzak, was born September 23, 1936 at New Rockford. She grew up in the rural Fessenden and Cathay areas and attended Fessenden Public School, graduating in 1954. She then worked at the FSA office in Fessenden for two years.

LaVonne A. Hagen, 76, of rural Cathay, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford.
LaVonne Ratzak, daughter of Alvin and Edna (Dablow) Ratzak, was born September 23, 1936 at New Rockford. She grew up in the rural Fessenden and Cathay areas and attended Fessenden Public School, graduating in 1954. She then worked at the FSA office in Fessenden for two years.
On April 8, 1956 she was married to Delmer Hagen at rural Fessenden. They made their home on the Ratzak family farm of rural Cathay since.
LaVonne was a life long member of the Concordia Lutheran Church where she was baptized, confirmed and married. She was also a member of the Merry Maids Homemakers for over 50 years.
She is survived by her husband, Delmer and her son, LaDell of rural Cathay.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin & Edna Ratzak.
Funeral: Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Concordia Lutheran Church of rural Fessenden.
Visitation: Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home in Fessenden.
Burial: Concordia Lutheran Cemetery.
