Donald Spiekermeier, 86, Sheldon, passed away February 28, 2013 at Sanford Health, Fargo ND. Donald Lawrence Spiekermeier was born February 15, 1927 to John and Bessie Spiekermeier at Sheldon, North Dakota. He grew up in Sheldon and graduated there. He farmed for many years and also worked various other jobs throughout his life. Donnie had been at the Good Samaritan Center in Arthur since 2006, where he enjoyed his time with fellow residents and the staff. Donald is survived by his three children, Lynn (Jan) Spiekermeier, Colorado, Paula (Dan) Aspelund, Minnesota, and David (Pauline) Spiekermeier, Iowa, along with 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He also leaves brothers Jack (Marlyss), Roy, (Anna Mae), and sister Mary (Pat) Boyle. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, March 4 at St. Mary’s, Sheldon, ND.
