Donald Larson, 89, of Fargo, ND, died suddenly on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Essentia Health, Fargo.Donald Jerome Larson was born July 18, 1923 to Oscar and Edna (Holter) Larson in Valley City, ND. Don was confirmed at Waldheim Lutheran Church and graduated from high school in Kathryn, ND. Donald served in the US Air Force in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, retiring in 1970 as Lieutenant Colonel. He graduated from San Diego State University with a B.S. in Business. He was a firefighter for the city of San Diego while going to college. A very proud man, Don loved to golf and enjoyed watching all sports.

Don married his high school sweetheart, Muriel Tangen, in San Diego, CA in 1982.
Don is survived by Muriel Larson, Jerry (Jeannie) Larson, Dave Proctor, Mike (Susan) Proctor, Ron (Robin) Larson, Marlin (Betty) Butenhoff, Judy (Neil) Stenshoel, Roger Butenhoff, Cheryl Bogie, Laura (Al) Johnson, Lisa Butenhoff, and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Funeral Service: 10am, Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND.
Visitation: One hour prior to the funeral service.
Burial: Waldheim Lutheran Cemetery, Kathryn, ND (at a later date).
