He worked as a civil engineer on many commercial projects in the area.
He is survived by two sons, James and Richard Swanson; grandchildren, Jimmy, Tyler and Gabriel; mother, Marlene Swanson; siblings, Gregg and Rick Swanson; and a sister, Tammy.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 11 to 12:45 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo.
Graveside Service: Wednesday at 1 PM at Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
