Dale Orville Nystul was born August 10, 1939, in Fargo, ND, to Orville and Ruth (Sundblad) Nystul. Dale was raised in Fargo and graduated from Fargo Central High School.Dale worked for Star Oil Company, Fargo, until he entered the US Navy. Following his discharge, he returned to Fargo and worked in a family business, Fargo Panel and Awning.

Dale died Friday, March 8, 2013, at Sanford Health, Fargo, at seventy-three years of age.
Dale is survived by his son, Jim, Fargo; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Dylan Nystul, Gig Harbor, WA; and a brother, John (JoAnne), Oak Hills, CA.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 13, 2013, after 12 noon, followed by a funeral at 1 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
