Joe Himle was born February 27, 1930, the youngest son of Nils and Anna Himle, in Wolford, ND. He grew up on the family farm and attended school in York, ND.
Joe was united in marriage to Stella Henrikson on August 5, 1956, in Leeds, ND.
Joe passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Home Sweet Home Elder Care, rural Horace, ND.
Joe is survived by his wife, Stella, Moorhead, MN; daughters, Judy (Bryan) Dalzell, Bismarck, ND, Janice (Randy) Rudisel, Fargo, ND, and Joann (Kevin) Anderson, Redwood Falls, MN; son, Jeff (Rhonda) Himle, Fargo; grandchildren, Catherine, Emily, Paul and Ian Dalzell, Katrina and Brandon Rudisel, and Nicholas and Cody Anderson.
Also surviving are his siblings, Harold Himle, Hazel Johnson, and Thelma (Carroll) Larson; sisters-in-law, Irene Himle and DeLorz Himle, and many nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lawrence and Arnold; sister, Sadie; nephew, Douglas Himle; and niece, Karen Anderson.
Gathering of Friends will be Friday, March 22, 2013, from 5 - 7 PM, with a Masonic Prayer Service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. The Memorial Service will be Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 11 AM, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
