Lillian "Lil" Olson

Lillian “Lil” Olson, age 84, of Fargo, ND, died on Sunday, March 31, 2013, in Villa Maria Nursing Home, Fargo, ND.

Lil was born on July 10, 1928, to George and Margaret (Howell) Halliday in Grand Forks, ND. She grew up and attended school in Ardoch, ND, before moving to Fargo, where she graduated from Fargo High School. Lil then attended Business College in Fargo. Just prior to graduating she was hand-picked to work at a local bank in commercial accounts. On August 14, 1949, she married Howard John Olson at the Gospel Tabernacle in Fargo. Together they had four children. Lil shared her love of music by playing the piano and organ at home and her church. She also loved to sing and sang for the weekly church radio broadcasts, in the church choir and many small groups. Lil had an exceptional gift of hospitality and loved to entertain guests in her lovely home. She also shared this gift by serving many years as the wedding coordinator at First Assembly in Fargo. Most important to her was her personal relationship and faith in her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Her husband was the one true love of her life and her family was her greatest source of love and joy.
