Dr. Paul J. Henningson

Paul John Henningson passed away on Friday, April 5th, 2013 due to an aggressive cancer. He was at his home in Baxter, MN surrounded by his wife Bonnie, his two sons Nathan and William and his parents.

Paul was born in Fargo, ND on June 4, 1956 to Les and Helen (Rozum) Henningson. He was baptized and confirmed at Elim Lutheran Church. After attending Fargo Public Schools Paul went on to North Dakota State University were he first graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and later a Master's Degree in Plant Pathology. Following several years of research as a microbiologist at NDSU Paul moved with his young family to Lincoln. There he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. Upon graduation the family relocated to the Brainerd Lakes Area where Paul began practicing dentistry.

It is one thing to live a life with many interests. It is distinct to pursue each one of these interests with the studious fervor, love and fascination the way that Paul did. Among his many forms of creation and adventure were playing jazz guitar, motorcycling through the western mountain ranges, woodworking and boating.

Above all Paul loved, nurtured and devoted his life to his family. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, sons William and Nathan, brother Hugh, sisters Julie (Troy) Schreifels and Nancy (Mark) Henningson and his parents Les and Helen.

A celebration of Paul's life will take place at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter on Wednesday, April 10th at 11:00 am.
