Mildred (Milly) Mason

Mildred (Milly) Mason, 88, of Fargo, N.D. went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 11, 2013. Milly died peacefully at Elim Rehab and Care Center, surrounded by loving family. Milly was born June 7, 1924 to Halbert and Olga Fish in Bangor, WI. Milly grew up there and married her high school sweetheart Lawrence (Pete) Mason on September 26, 1944. They later moved to LaCrosse Wisconsin in 1947, then to Fargo in 1954 where the couple lived.

Milly was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Lawrence (Pete) Mason, her parents, and sisters Gertrude Kirking, Ona Erickson, Erma Lorenz, and Helen Kniefl and brother Obert Fish.

Survived by loving children: Nancy (Gene) Bovee, Sharon (Warren) White, Dennis (Carolyn) Mason, Sally Hoff and Sandi (Rick) Samson.

10 Grandchildren Sheryl, Mara, Jodi, Nikki, Jay, Katrina, Marina, Suzie, Chad and Cory.

14 Great Grandchildren: Courtney, Brittany, Ali, Kiera, Seth, Jade, Taylen, Payton, Angel, Hannah, Sofia, Britton, Brenna, and Devin and favorite aunt to many nieces and nephews. Remembered by many friends for her smiling and caring ways.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, aunt, and friend and touched many others with her grace, smiles and loving ways.

Mass of Christian Burial will be April 22, 2013 at 1 p.m. at River View Place Chapel, 5300 12th St. S. Fargo, N.D. 58104. Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fargo.

She is now at peace. The family deeply thanks the caring staff at Riverview Place, Elim Rehab and Care Center and Hospice of the Red River Valley for the loving care they provided Milly over the years and at the end of her life. Mama you will be missed but never forgotten - we love you forever.
