Jeannine Hoseth, age 78, of Twin Valley, MN died Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.

Jeannine Carol Hinkley was born in Durand, WI on May 23, 1934 to Orville and Caroline (Kees) Hinkley. She graduated from Washington High School in St. Paul, MN and in 1952 she attended nurses’ training in Minneapolis, MN. Jeannine was united in marriage to Sherman Hoseth on June 5, 1954 in St. Paul, at her parents’ home. They spent their first winter of marriage in Phoenix, AZ with her grandmother. Sherman and Jeannine moved to the farm by Twin Valley in the spring of 1955, where they have resided for 59 years. Jeannine and Sherman enjoyed traveling and visiting family in Canada and later grandchildren in Canada, Europe, Mexico, and various states. They spent the past 20 winters in their home in San Juan, TX.

Jeannine was a city girl who transitioned very easily to northern Minnesota farm life. She was active in all areas of the farm operations, flower gardening and attending activities of the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved spending time at the cabin at Leaf Lake. Coffee at the Flom Café was a main event, usually leading to lunch. Jeannine was a woman of strong faith and enjoyed time spent with her family and friends.

Jeannine is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Sherman of Twin Valley; her children: Renee (David) Sogge of Glyndon, MN; Sheila (Jari) Boettcher of Hermiston, OR; Vicki Hoseth of Denver, CO; Blair (Deb) Hoseth of Mahnomen, MN; Corey (Cassandra) Hoseth of Mahnomen, MN and Melanie (Kevin) Quick of Borup, MN; 17 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Duane (Joan) Hinkley of Houston, TX; a sister, Sharon Raehsler of Forest Lake, MN; sister-in-law, Erma Hoseth of Detroit Lakes, MN; an uncle George Kees of Chippewa Falls, WI and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Orville and Caroline Hinkley; her step-father, Fred Klingfus; and one brother-in-law, Arnold Hoseth, Jr.

Visitation will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home in Twin Valley from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 30th. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the funeral at the Community Center. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at the Twin Valley Community Center in Twin Valley. Burial will take place at St. Olaf Cemetery, rural Twin Valley (Faith).
