Her greatest pleasures were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her passion was animals - all creatures great and small. She loved her horse, Danny, her many beloved dogs, and the peace and tranquility of the cabin on Ottertail.

Elois died peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at her daughter's home in Moorhead, with her loved ones gathered around her, at eighty-four years of age.

Elois is survived by her son, Todd J. Vikander, Sioux City, IA; daughter, Patricia "Tricia" Rudnick, Moorhead; grandsons, Christopher, Matthew (Jennifer), Jonathan (Katie), and Michael (Anna) Rudnick; and great-grandchildren, Landon and Aubrey Rudnick; and a sister, Dona (James) Duffy.
