Ann “Susy” Christensen, 82, Fargo, ND, formerly Mapleton, ND, died Sunday, June 9, 2013 at ManorCare Health Services, Fargo.

Ann Hilzendeger was born September 14, 1930 to Wendelin and Agatha (Feist) Hilzendeger at Napoleon, ND. She grew up and attended school at Napoleon. Ann worked as a waitress and bartender, but her full time job was that of a homemaker. She married George Christensen on September 12, 1959. They made their home at Mapleton for many years.

Ann is survived by two step sons, George, Casselton, ND, William (Mary Jo), Webster, SD; one step daughter, Valerie (Albert) Schmidt, Fargo; nine step grandchildren; fifteen step great grandchildren; and a sister, Maggie Erickson, Walhalla, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, seven brothers, six sisters and two great grandchildren.

To honor Ann’s request, there will be no public service. A private family burial will be at the Mapleton City Cemetery.
