Patricia (Pat) Anderson was born August 30, 1925 in Bismarck, ND the daughter of Albert and Margaret (Moore) Anderson. She grew up in Jamestown, graduated from Jamestown High and attended Jamestown College for a year before adventuring to California to help in the WWII effort to work at Lockheed Air Force Base. She spoke of this time with great pride and how she delivered the mail from under the bases’ gigantic camouflage mesh. On May 14, 1945 Patricia married her high school sweetheart, Delbert R. Boss in San Antonio, TX while he was attending US Army Corps flight training. They later made their home in Jamestown and raised her family there. In 1991 Pat moved to Fargo, ND where she lived for the remainder of her life until moving to Wishek Living Center last January.

Pat was always there to support those close to her as best she could. She cared for her dying mother, her father & uncle lived in the Boss home in their elderly years and she lovingly cared for her husband during his illness. She would not leave the love of her life, her son Scott’s side, while he was in Hospice. She was a tower of strength in life and in her death.

Pat had vast interests, a very quick wit, loved learning and continued to have a curious mind throughout her life. At one time she was the president of the Jamestown Garden Club, president of the PTA, was both a Girl and Boy Scout leader. In Fargo she thoroughly enjoyed volunteering at both Merit Care and Dakota hospitals, The Salvation Army Food Bank and the Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead. She loved her golf, her gardening and she always had a book by her side.

Patricia is survived by two daughters, Debra (Bryan) Dohn, Wishek, ND and Patrice Boss, Fargo, ND; two grandchildren, Shawna (Ryan) Corbett and Erik (Brenda) Dohn; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Del, her son Scott and her parents.

Graveside Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, ND, with Father Katanga officiating and a luncheon at the Buffalo City Grille following.

No Visitation is scheduled. Memorials can be made to any Hospice in honor of Pat’s son.
