Delores was active in her churches, both at Wild Rice and in Zion Lutheran Church in Twin Valley. She was in the church choir and also a soloist. While living in Moorhead, she joined the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, where she was a committed participant in their prayer chain. She loved her church and the many friends she had there. She loved to write poetry, not flowery poetry, but humorous ones that she wrote for showers, anniversaries, school reunions, and many other occasions. She golfed, bowled a little, and danced a lot. She loved music. She truly loved being a mother and "Grandma Dee" to all her grandchildren and great grandchildren (she always said they were the greatest gifts God had given her), but most of all she loved her Lord. She thanked Him every day for His love and the blessings He gave her.
