After Jim's death in 1992, Ila split her time between Arizona and North Dakota for many years. Ila dearly loved her family and was always proud of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren throughout her life. She happily displayed the many pictures and cards that her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren often sent. Ila would proudly talk about the special memories she shared with each of them. Ila was welcoming to those who joined her family through marriage as well. Ila shared her genuine love and kindness with all, and she will be deeply missed.
