Timothy Paul “Tim” Seitz, 47, Fargo, formerly Jamestown, N.D., died Friday, July 12, 2013 in his home under the care of his family and Hospice of the Red River Valley after a courageous battle with cancer.

Tim was born January 24, 1966, to Henry and Viola “Vi” (Weispfenning) Seitz. He attended St. John’s Academy in Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1984. He enlisted in the United States Army and was deployed to South Korea. He spent two and a half years in the army and was honorably discharged in 1987.

He met the love of his life Bonnie Schmit at 18. After a brief courtship they married on December 18, 1984. They had long been friends and their relationship just came so naturally. Through the years their love for each other never waned. It continued to grow stronger, especially after Tim was diagnosed with cancer in 2010.

Together they had two children, daughter Nichole and son Christopher. They made their home in Fargo. Tim worked at Solid Comfort in Fargo for 21 years and was proud to call many of his co-workers great friends. He retired at the end of September 2012.

Hunting and fishing were among some of Tim’s favorite activities. He was an avid duck and deer hunter who loved spending time in the outdoors. It is safe to say, above all, that he loved spending time with his grandson Connyr. They were “snuggle bunnies” and cuddle time was a favorite activity.

Although he was a very stubborn man his heart was full of love and kindness even if he didn't know how to express it. He was always willing to help out a friend or family member in time of need and they were there to return the favor when he needed it the most.

Tim is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Nichole; son Chris (Katie) Seitz, grandson Connyr and soon to be born grand daughter Kenna; mother, Viola; brothers, Mark (Tracy) Seitz, John (Melissa) Seitz, Tom (Jan) Seitz, and David Seitz; sisters, Cathy (Rich) Fuchs, Barb (Bernie) Boyle, Marge (Dwight) Frazer, Jan (Curt) Janke, and Sarah Skjeret; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry and brother Joe.
