Agnes "Aggie" (Loegering) Mikesh

Aggie, longtime resident of Lidgerwood, ND, passed away on August 10, 2013, at the Palliative Care Unit at Essentia Hospital in Fargo surrounded by her family, at the age of 68.

Aggie Loegering and her twin sister, Angie Olson, were born on June 13, 1945 to Herman and Mary (May) Loegering in Britton, SD. The family made their home near Brampton where she attended grade school. They moved to Fargo in 1957 where she attended St. Mary’s School, graduating from St. Francis Academy in Hankinson, ND. Aggie was married to Joseph O’Keefe on April 22, 1967 and four children were born to this marriage. She lived 18 years in Minot with her family.

Aggie Loegering and her twin sister, Angie Olson, were born on June 13, 1945 to Herman and Mary (May) Loegering in Britton, SD. Aggie was married to Joseph O’Keefe on April 22, 1967 and four children were born to this marriage. She lived 18 years in Minot with her family.

Aggie was united in marriage to Albert “Al” Mikesh on June 22, 1991. They made their home in Lidgerwood, ND, wintering in Mission, TX, recently moving to Fargo. For 17 years she was a partner with her husband, Al, in his musical entertaining career. Aggie was a life-long Catholic and joined her husband in music ministry. She also enjoyed painting, sewing, crocheting, and remodeling.

Aggie is survived by her husband, Al Mikesh; her children, Sean (Pam) O’Keefe, Colleen (Greg) Stockert, Jennifer (Paul) Fisk, and Timothy (Dena) O’Keefe; her step-children, Larry (Janalee) Mikesh, Linda Mikesh, Coleen (John) Birch, Betty (Rick) Stewart, Susan Mikesh, Karen Mikesh, Tammy (Tracey) Duncan, Scott Mikesh, James Mikesh, her 22 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are 12 of her siblings: Jerome, Theresa Lothspeich, Rosella Jangula, Florence Wegan, Sylvan, George, Dennis, Annette Bruns, Angela Olson, Rev. Leonard Loegering of Wyndmere, ND, Julia Tschider, and Paul. Aggie is also survived by 52 nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Donald, and an unborn grandchild.

Aggie’s family wishes to thank the staff at Essentia Hospital, especially Dr. Raval and the nurses in the Palliative Care Unit for their exceptional care.

VISITATION: 5-7 PM Monday, August 12, 2013 at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo – and also one hour prior to the service in the church on Tuesday

FUNERAL MASS: 10 AM Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Nativity Catholic Church in Fargo

BURIAL: Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fargo
