Lorrine A. (Daniels) Johnson

Lorrine A. (Daniels) Johnson, 97, Fargo, died peacefully by her family and very special caregivers under the care of Hopsice of the Red River Valley; Sept. 5 , 2013, at Edgewood Vista, Fargo. Lorrine was born on December 28, 1915, to Jesse and Alma (Sherman) Daniels at Berlin, ND.

After living in Berlin for a few years, the family moved to Forman, ND. She attended Forman High (now Sargent Central) and graduated in 1933. After graduation she was employed in the Agricultural Adjustment Administration Office (AAA) in Forman until the time of her wedding.

Lorrine A. (Daniels) Johnson, 97, Fargo, died peacefully by her family and very special caregivers under the care of Hopsice of the Red River Valley; Sept. 5 , 2013, at Edgewood Vista, Fargo. Lorrine was born on December 28, 1915, to Jesse and Alma (Sherman) Daniels at Berlin, ND.

After living in Berlin for a few years, the family moved to Forman, ND. She attended Forman High (now Sargent Central) and graduated in 1933. After graduation she was employed in the Agricultural Adjustment Administration Office (AAA) in Forman until the time of her wedding.

On September 10, 1944, Lorrine was united in marriage to Harold E. Johnson from Milnor, ND, in the congregational church in Forman, ND. In 1945, she and her husband moved to Fargo, ND. While in Fargo she was employed by the Internal Revenue Service Office, Morud Tax Service, and Crary Insurance Agency. She then worked at First Congregational United Church of Christ (UCC) in Fargo for thirty years as the church secretary, retiring at the age of 79. She has been a member of the church since 1955.

Lorrine was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Fargo. She was a volunteer at MeritCare Hospital (Sanford) until the age of 90.

She was proceeded in death by her husband (Harold), son (Curtis), her parents (Jesse and Alma Daniels), and two brothers (Marvin and Troy Daniels).

She is survived by a daughter Cheryl (Howard) Bjerke, Fargo; a sister Cleone Bock, Lisbon, ND; a daughter-in-law, Kristi Johnson, Verona, WI; four granddaughters Caroline (Jose) Torres and Elizabeth (Douglas) Lundgren, Fitchburg, WI; Michelle (Nick) Schumacher, Fargo, ND; and Amy (Ryan) Davis, Cottage Grove, MN; great-grandchildren, Mateo Torres Johnson, Evan and Jacob Lundgren, Nora and Olivia Schumacher; step grandchildren Brian (Niccole) Bjerke, Fargo, ND; Kevin Bjerke, Aberdeen SD; Stacy (Nick) Finnesgard, Detroit Lakes, MN; Breanna (Chad) Hendrickson, Parker, CO; step great- grandchildren, Cohen and Regan Bjerke, and Mabel and Liberty Finnesgard; and a sister-in-law, Lillian Bodding, Ada, MN.

The family of Lorrine would like to thank the staff at Edgewood Vista and Hospice of the Red River Valley for their compassionate care. Memorials are preferred to First Congregational Church of Fargo or Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Visitation: Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 from 5:00-7:00PM at Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, ND and from 2:30-3:30PM Saturday before the funeral at First Congregational Church, Fargo, ND

Funeral: Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, 3:30PM at First Congregational Church, Fargo, ND.

Burial: Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
