Brian Hill

Brian Hill, 60, Bismarck, died September 16, 2013 at Sanford Hospital, Bismarck. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Bismarck Funeral Home with Msgr. Schumacher officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Brian was born February 6, 1953 in Fargo, ND. He graduated from Fargo South High School in 1970 and attended NDSU. For several years he worked in the construction industry and owned his own business. Brian eventually moved to Bend, OR where the fishing was a few steps outside his door and he enjoyed some of his best times.

He came to Bismarck in 1990, taking over ownership and management of Polar Package Place and Lucky’s Bar. Throughout his business career, Brian was a man of principle and always eager to help those in need. Active in many charitable events and in the hospitality industry, he was always generous with his time and resources.

Most recently Brian became a Brush Lake summer resident. He loved spending long weekends at the cabin, completing many improvement projects and enjoying the company of the many new friends he had made.

Brian is survived by his brother Duane (Gail) Hill, Fargo and sister Sharon (Keith) Fleischauer, Ottertail, MN.

The family would like to thank Brian’s many friends and co-workers for their care and support, and for allowing him the time to spend enjoying the beauty and pleasure of Brush Lake life. Memorials can be sent to Cystic Fibrosis, a charity he long supported.
