Charlotte Rogne Marick, 99, died September 21, 2013 at Bethany Senior Living in Fargo.

Charlotte Anna Rogne was born September 10, 1914, in Hettinger, North Dakota, the daughter of Brynjulf and Emma (Trana) Rogne. She was raised on the family farm near Kindred. She attended Pleasant Consolidated School in Walcott Township. In the 1940s and 1950s she did housekeeping for families in the Fargo and Kindred areas. Although she had no children of her own, she was a loving and caring aunt to her nieces and nephews and helped raise her five stepchildren.

Charlotte Anna Rogne was born September 10, 1914, in Hettinger, North Dakota, the daughter of Brynjulf and Emma (Trana) Rogne. She was raised on the family farm near Kindred. She attended Pleasant Consolidated School in Walcott Township. In the 1940s and 1950s she did housekeeping for families in the Fargo and Kindred areas. Although she had no children of her own, she was a loving and caring aunt to her nieces and nephews and helped raise her five stepchildren.

She married Clemens Marick in 1959 and lived at Kent and Erhard, Minnesota. Her husband died in 1976. She returned to Kindred in the early 1980s, where she was active in the senior citizens club and kept a beautiful flower garden. She was a master at growing African violets, winning prizes at the Red River Valley Fair and starting new plants for neighbors and friends. She enjoyed baking, sewing, berry picking, and walking in the Sandhills. She moved to Bethany in 2009.

Mrs. Marick was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Agnes, brothers John and Leslie Rogne, and nephew Duane Rogne. She leaves her sister-in-law Katherine Rogne of Kindred, nephews Robert (Carmen), Trana (Gail), Seward, (Ann) and Eric (Sarah) Rogne, nieces Kay (Duane) Lindblad and Leah Rogne (Fred Schumacher), 18 great-nephews and nieces, her stepchildren Mary Lou Johnson, Louis Marick, Kathy Marick, Carolyn Heideman, and Yvonne Hansen, and many step-grandchildren.

At her request no services will be held. Memorials may be sent to St. Francis Mission Among the Lakota, 350 Oak St., St. Francis, SD 57572.
