Naomi Walberg

Naomi passed away on October 4, 2013 at her home in Fargo at the age of 76.

Naomi Frad Walberg was born on May 21, 1937 in Perley, MN. She grew up on a farm near Horace and attended school in Horace. She was united in marriage to Duane Walberg on October 28, 1955 in Horace. Naomi worked for many years at St. John’s Hospital in Fargo until its closing, and then for Dr. Lindeman. She also worked at Rosewood on Broadway Nursing Home and at Essentia Hospital as a sitter until the time of her death. Duane and Naomi made their home in Horace the majority of the life. Duane passed away in March of 2010. Naomi continued to live in Horace until 2012 when she moved into Fargo.

Naomi was a long time member of Horace Lutheran Church and was an active member of the West Fargo Women’s Auxiliary. She loved spending time with family and friends – especially her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. She cared about people, and loved visiting and meeting new friends all the time.

Naomi is survived by her daughter, Debbie Duval of West Fargo, ND; her son, Michael Walberg of Wahpeton, ND; and her daughter, Vickie (John) DeYonge, of Sioux Falls, SD; Also surviving are her grandchildren - Jennifer, Matthew, Nathan, Devin, Lyndsey, Tyler, Hailey, and Sarah; her great grandchildren - Kendra, Ashton, Zephyr, Journee, Loden, Konnor and Sofia, her sister, Kaye (Jim) Kinnen of Frazee, MN; and her brother, Bob Nelson of Wyndmere, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Pat Newman.

GATHERING: 5-7 PM Wednesday at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo – and also one hour prior to the service in the church on Thursday

PRAYER SERVICE: 7 PM Wednesday at Boulger Funeral Home in Fargo

MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 AM Thursday, October 10, 2013 at Horace Lutheran Church
