Earl Leland Wickoren, 88, of Milnor, ND died Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Lisbon Area Health Services, Lisbon N.D. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Milnor Lutheran Church in Milnor. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Bethany Lutheran Church in McLeod, N.D. Burial will be at the Freeman Cemetery, McLeod.

Earl was born to Ingvold and Nellie (Sveum) Wickoren on March 16, 1925. He grew up and attended school in McLeod. After his schooling, Earl went into the trucking business, hauling gravel, cattle and hay.

Earl was born to Ingvold and Nellie (Sveum) Wickoren on March 16, 1925. He grew up and attended school in McLeod. After his schooling, Earl went into the trucking business, hauling gravel, cattle and hay.

In 1953 Earl married Merlie Houge of McLeod, and they continued the trucking business and also owned and operated a gas station together. Merlie passed away in 1992.

Earl married Pat Goolsbey in 1994 and they divorced in 2012.

Earl is survived by brothers Donald (Louise) Wickoren, Moorhead, MN and Vern (Nancy) Wickoren, Fargo, ND; a sister, Dorothy Anderson, Fargo, ND; a sister-in-law, Kay Wickoren, Wyndmere, ND. Earl is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ingvold & Nellie, brother, Ardell Wickoren, sisters, Clarice Halmrast, Betty Manske and Shirley Wiepking, and two baby brothers.

In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials be given to the donors choice or to Bethany Lutheran Church or Freeman Cemetery, both McLeod, ND.
