Alice O. Olson, 86, of Oakes, ND, passed away November 24, 2013, at St. Rose Care Center, LaMoure, ND.

Alice Olive, daughter of Ole and Caroline (Knutson) Bakken was born March 27, 1927 in Vining, Minnesota. She grew up and attended school in Glyndon, Minnesota, graduating from Glyndon High School in 1946. She married John Hanson on February 5, 1949, and they lived in various places in Minnesota. Together they had five children; Marie, Jean and Ann who died at birth on December 26, 1950, Judy born on September 11, 1952, and Steven who was born on September 18, 1955 and died on July 3, 1967.

Alice Olive, daughter of Ole and Caroline (Knutson) Bakken was born March 27, 1927 in Vining, Minnesota. Together they had five children; Marie, Jean and Ann who died at birth on December 26, 1950, Judy born on September 11, 1952, and Steven who was born on September 18, 1955 and died on July 3, 1967.

Alice married Clyde Olson on December 31, 1969. They lived near Glover, North Dakota until 1988, when they moved to Oakes. Clyde passed away on April 29, 2012. Alice enjoyed baking for her family, and traveling with Clyde.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Sherman) Rasmusson, LaMoure; three grandchildren, Zachary (Nikki) Rasmusson, Mariah (Jason) Madsen, and Christopher (Jay) Rasmusson; five great-grandchildren, Taylor, Risa, Tessa, Keaton and Jett; and her sister, Doris Aune, Moorhead, MN. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clyde, four children, Jean, Marie, Ann and Steven, a grandson, Ryan, five brothers, and four sisters.
