Harlin Fraedrich, 78, Enderlin, ND died January 18th in Rochester, MN.

Harlin was born May 26, 1935 in rural Enderlin to Loran and Alpha (Boeder) Fraedrich. He attended school in Pontiac Township-Enderlin.

Harlin Fraedrich, 78, Enderlin, ND died January 18th in Rochester, MN.

Harlin was born May 26, 1935 in rural Enderlin to Loran and Alpha (Boeder) Fraedrich. He attended school in Pontiac Township-Enderlin.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1959. On September 10, 1960 he married Diann "Dolly" Buchholz. Harlin worked road construction for Tennefos Bros and Schultz & Lindsey Construction of Fargo. He purchased White System in 1965. In 1967 he purchased The Friendly Tavern in Enderlin and operated it for 30 plus years. In 1979 he purchased Glen Daub's gravel business and renamed it Fraedrich Gravel. In 1966 he started Fraedrich Disposal which he sold in 1997. In the 1980's he added livestock and grain hauling and in 1985 he bought the farm. He continued with his livestock operations until 2009. In 2012 Harlin received the Ransom Co Soil Conservation award.

Harlin is survived by his wife, Dolly; children, Darwin (Terri) Fraedrich of Enderlin; Dwight (LeAnn) Fraedrich of Enderlin. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; April, Jamie, Erica, Charlene, David, Blair and Blake Fraedrich, and 9 great-grandchildren Cassidy, Evan, Kirsten, Alyssa, Winter Rose Fraedrich, Lexis, Dustin Podvin, Mariah Inglind, and Brylee Larson; sisters LaVern (Walter) Morlock of Gackle, Phyllis (Herbert) Schlecht of Everett WA, Janice (Robert) Lee of Enderlin, Beverly (Sam) Robertson of Enderlin, Sharon (Gerald) Skramstad of Warner, SD, Charlotte (Roger) Haarsager of West Fargo, Debra (Kevin) Jordet of Enderlin; brother Gary (Randy) of Barnseville.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 5-7pm at Armstrong Funeral Home, Enderlin.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, Enderlin.

Burial will be at Pontiac Cemetery, rural Enderlin.
