Douglas Howard Hanson, 65 of Fargo, North Dakota, died Sunday January 26, 2014 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. Doug was born in Fargo, ND on October 22, 1948 to Howard and Betty (Anderson) Hanson. He graduated from Fargo North High School. He found employment through Vocational Rehabilitation, and also for Fargo Parks and Recreation as scoreboard keeper and diamond maintenance.

He had many interests and talents. Doug was truly one of a kind. He enjoyed spending time with family and traveling. He especially enjoyed working the DJ booth at his cousin's resort and lodge. He will be missed by all who knew him.

NDHP announcer Haar keeping his mind on the race
Fargo - Tucked away in a box above the crowds at the North Dakota Horse Park is Bubby Haar. Armed with binoculars and a microphone, he acts as the eyes and ears of the horse races at the ND Horse Park. He was there when it opened in 2003 and has been in the booth every day it has returned to Fargo. After Sunday, Haar finished his ninth season calling races in Fargo.
