Elroy Frank Palmer
Elroy Frank (Roy) Palmer went home to the Lord on April 9, 2013. He was born March 5, 1938 to Elroy and Lucille Palmer in Big Fork, Minnesota. He joined the Air Force at an early age, and married his first wife, Avis Narveson. They had 5 children. He married Connie Paschke in 1968 and they have 2 children. Frank worked at the Downtown YMCA for 25 years in the old building which he loved very much. Along with his wife, he managed the Lancashire Arms Apartments for 42 years. He loved the tenants and the challenge of repairing older fixtures. His greatest pride was in the boiler rooms both at the YMCA and the apartment building. Frank also enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He made many pieces of furniture that are in use today and will be for generations to come. Frank is preceded in death by parents, Elroy and Lucille; sisters, Judith and DeAnna; and brothers, William and Everett. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Connie; sons, Brian, Clifford (June), and Loren; daughters, Jennifer (Patrick), Lorna, Charleen (Darin), Lorena (John), many grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. He will be missed by many. Mass of Christian Burial 12 Noon Friday, BASILICA OF ST. MARY, Hennepin Avenue between 16th and 17th Street. Visitation 5-8 PM Thursday THOMSON-DOUGHERTY MANSION 2535 Park Avenue, and one hour prior to service at church. Interment 1 PM Saturday Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Deer River, Minnesota. Margaret Lucile Greuel, 85, West Fargo, ND, died on Friday, March 22, 2013 in Villa Maria, Fargo, ND.
Margaret L. Pfeifer was born on May 29, 1927 to Edward and Mary (Mergner) Pfeifer, on the family farm near Durbin, ND, where she was raised and attended rural school. She graduated from high school in Casselton, ND. Marge married Elroy Greuel on Oct. 29, 1946 in Casselton. They lived in Casselton until moving to Fargo in the late 1940's. Marge was a stay at home mother that raised her children. Elroy died on August 14, 2012.

Kenneth R. Krause, 77, Breckenridge, MN, formerly Wyndmere, ND passed away on Monday, March 11, 2013 at St. Francis Healthcare Campus, Breckenridge, MN. Funeral services will be on Friday, March 15 at 2:30 PM at Willow Creek Chapel, Wahpeton, ND. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Elk Creek Cemetery, Wyndmere in the spring. Arrangements are entrusted to Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, ND.
Kenneth was born on May 8, 1935 in rural Mantador, ND the son of Theodore and Ella (Rohl) Krause. Ken grew up and attended school in Wyndmere, ND. He did road construction work for Collins Construction and Gutzmer Construction and also worked for Bobcat and Kimberly-Clark in Breckenridge. Kenny moved to Dakota Estates in Lidgerwood, ND in 1990 and lived there until he became a resident of St. Francis Home in Breckenridge in 2006. Kenny was always very appreciative of the help he received from his caregivers.

Clifford Ellingson, age 86, of Glenfield, ND, died Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.
Clifford A. Ellingson was born on June 10, 1926, the son of Fanuel and Marie (Stangeland) Ellingson at Cooperstown, ND. He grew up and lived on the family farm near Glenfield. In June of 1952, Clifford enlisted in the US Army and served in Korea. He was Honorably Discharged in June of 1954. Clifford returned to the family farm and farmed there until his retirement in 1999.

Violet L. Nilson, 87, Maddock, ND, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND.
Violet L. Martian was born September 22, 1925 rural Esmond, ND, to Anton and Anne (Hoffner) Martian. She was baptized at the Odessa Catholic Church. Violet attended North Fork rural grade school and graduated from the Esmond High School. Violet attended Minot Teachers College, receiving the Standard Teaching Certificate, and taught at the Arne Township and East Fork Schools. On November 4, 1946, Violet and Mandy Seville Nilson were married at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Esmond. They farmed in Arne Township until July of 1980 when they moved into Maddock. She worked a number of years at the Grill in Maddock. Mandy Nilson passed away February 28, 1997.
