Ruby E. (Snedigar) McAllister, 95, Fargo passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the Palliative Care Unit of Sanford Health, Fargo.

Ruby was born March 5, 1917 in DeSmet, South Dakota to Henry and Florence (Mullen) Snedigar. She graduated from Huron High School in 1933. She attended Huron College before marrying J.L. McAllister on January 24, 1939. The couple moved to Valley City, North Dakota in 1939 where Ruby worked as a bookkeeper at the lumber yard. They lived in Walhalla, North Dakota and Langdon, North Dakota where her husband managed the Penny’s Stores. She moved to Fargo in January 2009 and resided there until her death.

Harriet R. Ahles age 78 of Detroit Lakes, MN died Sunday December 30, 2012 at her residence.

Harriet Rose Ahles was born on August 28, 1934 in Crookston, MN to Oscar and Mary Mulcahy Anderson. She grew up and received her education in Crookston, graduating from Crookston Cathedral High School. She was united in marriage to Robert J. Ahles on June 4, 1955 in Crookston, MN. Over the years they lived in Santa Ana, CA, Minot, ND, Thief River Falls, MN and Mankato, MN before moving to Detroit Lakes in 1976. Harriet worked at JC Penny in Detroit Lakes for several years.
