Ruby E. McAllister
Ruby E. (Snedigar) McAllister, 95, Fargo passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at the Palliative Care Unit of Sanford Health, Fargo.
Ruby was born March 5, 1917 in DeSmet, South Dakota to Henry and Florence (Mullen) Snedigar. She graduated from Huron High School in 1933. She attended Huron College before marrying J.L. McAllister on January 24, 1939. The couple moved to Valley City, North Dakota in 1939 where Ruby worked as a bookkeeper at the lumber yard. They lived in Walhalla, North Dakota and Langdon, North Dakota where her husband managed the Penny’s Stores. She moved to Fargo in January 2009 and resided there until her death.

Layla Dawn Pekarski was born September 5, 2012. She passed from the loving arms of her parents into the arms of THE Father on December 25, 2012. Her life is celebrated in the hearts of her mother Amber, daughter of Dawn and Darren Wagner of Fullerton, ND; and her father Drew, son of Penny and Daniel Pekarski of Dickey, ND.
During her short time here on earth, Layla Bear showed strength and love that inspired family, friends, and strangers alike who followed her courageous battle. Layla lives on in the hearts of ALL the people she has touched. She has taught us all to be Layla Strong!
