Correction: Letter mistakenly published
A letter to the editor on Page A4 of Monday’s Opinion page titled “Some Fargo legislators have rejected North Dakota values,” by Amy Phillips, was mistakenly published after having been in The Forum’s files for two months. The error was The Forum’s. The letter suggested Sen. Tim Flakoll, R-Fargo, was involved with a recent amendment by Rep. Bette Grande, R-Fargo, to block a North Dakota State University research grant. He was not. The letter writer was referring to the first attempt to stop the grant, not the recent amendment. Publishing the old letter confused the two, and The Forum apologizes for any confusion among readers that resulted due to the timing of the letter’s publication.
