Dorothy Miller, 89, Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, December 23, 2012, in Golden Living Center in Moorhead.

Dorothy Emma (Erbstoesser) Miller was born May 22, 1923, to Mabel and Frederick Erbstoesser. She attended country school and was proud to have graduated from the 8th grade. Dorothy worked in service to others her entire life. She started out working for her Grandma Ida Erbstoesser and when she moved to Fargo, worked at the 5 Spot, Bluebird Cafe, Silver Moon and Quality Bakery. Dorothy was also a Bluebird leader and a Cub Scout Den Mother with her children.

Mavis Eileen Klosner
Mavis Eileen Klosner, age 58, resident of Sharon, ND passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 at her home in Sharon.

Mavis was born July 6, 1954 in Sharon, ND the daughter of Bertram and Pearl (Jacobson) Dronen. She grew up and was educated in Finley, ND before moving to Lexington, MN where she graduated Centennial High School in 1972. She married David Klosner on November 25, 1972. The couple made their home in Lino Lakes, MN. Mavis worked various jobs including Mary Kay, local bartending, helping with physical therapy at the nursing home and working in a pizza shop and a bakery. In 2004 she moved to Sharon, ND. Mavis was always taking care of people, she was a true caregiver. She enjoyed camping, spending time with family, going to auction sales, sewing, canning and dressing up for Halloween.

Adrien “Jerry” Simonson
Adrien “Jerry” Simonson, age 75, of Fargo, ND, passed away and went to meet the Lord, surrounded by his loving wife, Sharon, and all of his children, on Feb. 23, 2013 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo. Jerry was born in Hamburg, ND on March 27, 1936. He was the son of Henry and Mary Simonson of Maddock, ND. He was raised by John and Alma Sundahl as his foster parents following his parent’s death at the age of 4. He moved to Fargo in 1955 and he was united in marriage to Sharon Leroy.

Jerry started work at Red Owl Bakery after high school. He was a baker at Red Owl for 18 years until the company moved. At that time, he went to work at NDSU where he also worked as a baker. At NDSU he worked his way up to Manager. He worked with a wide range of people, training them in the baking profession. He had a big impact on many of his co-workers and they had a special place in his heart. He loved working at the bakery until his retirement. While working at NDSU he frequently worked second jobs to help support his large family. He loved to work on cars especially doing body work. He worked for Tri-State Auction for many years and quite often would bring home vehicles to fix and give to family members. Jerry’s other passions were serving the Lord by helping others and supporting his family, children and grandchildren and all their activities. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing and especially being at the lake cabin with his family.

Howard J. Fischer
Howard J. Fischer, 87, Lisbon, formerly of Fargo, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the North Dakota Veteran’s Home, Lisbon.

Howard was born April 22, 1925 to August “Gus” and Verna (Rintoul) Fischer in Leonard, North Dakota. He grew up in the Leonard area, where he attended school. His father was the owner/operator of Fischer Lumber, now Sheyenne Valley. Howard enlisted into the Army serving from 1946-1947. He was stationed in Germany. He returned to Fargo where he married Bonnie Mae LaBlanc at St. Mary’s Cathedral in 1951. The couple made their home in Fargo. Howard worked for Gamble Robinson's from 1947-1967. From 1967-1990 he worked for Holsum Bakery/Pan-O-Gold as a baker. He retired in 1990 at the age of 65.
